If you want to change the job that you are in there are a lot of agencies around that have on their books UK Jobs where companies put the vacancies that they have. These agencies are one of the best places to go to first as they have done all the background work for you. You may be starting off in your first job after leaving school, college or university or you may just want to move from the company that you are currently working for. Either way if you register with an agency they can match what you are looking for in a job to the vacancies that they have.

If you do get a job through an agency they earn a commission usually based on the salary that you will get. Some companies do not want to advertise their UK Jobs through an agency as they do not want to pay the commission which can sometimes be high so instead advertise in papers. This can take more time as you obviously have to buy all the papers and scan through all the UK Jobs to see what is available. Then either phone or send your CV off to them for them to peruse. You also do not always get a good idea of exactly what the job is as there is only so much that they can put in an advert.
